Used Car Markets Rising Fast

Used Car markets around the nation are reporting better than average sales for the first quarter. With the increased sales come two dynamics...lower supply and rising prices.

Used car supply is dwindling and dealers and end consumers are paying more for these used cars. Dealers may appear to be more profitable due to the increase in prices, but that is just not the case.

The shortened supply is affecting the auctions where dealers pick up much of their used car inventory. If the dealers pay more, the customer in turn pays more, but there is little to know additional profit for the dealer.

The rising prices do not seem to be affecting the sales volume on used car sales. Many dealers are posting much higher sales volume numbers on used cars versus there new car sales.

A Honda Dealer, that is accustomed to selling 60% new cars and 40% used, might find the tables turned and the used car sales volume out pacing the new. This is good for the short run, but in the long run, this is not helping the auto manufactures. New car sales need to be ramped up in order to stem the negative tide.

Various markets, not just isolated markets, around the country are reporting these trends. Used Cars Cincinnati Dealers are seeing this citywide. So too are other markets in Ohio such as Dayton and Columbus.

Search Engine Marketing companies are beginning to tailor more and more of their efforts towards the used car market. Dan Mercurio, President of Elite Search Engine Marketing and DealerLinkUSA says that the current market model points drastically towards used cars and their focus has escalated in the used car sector.

The used car phenomenon has reached the West Coast where Los Angeles Toyota Dealers are also seeing similar trends. Even in the more affluent markets, used cars are taking a stronghold on the automotive sales landscape.

The times have certainly changed. Used Cars is not just a funny movie from the eighties anymore.

When Will Auto Markets Come Back?

We are now approaching at least six months since the major downturn in the automotive market. The fluctuation of used car prices has been such that many dealers have never seen such drops like these in their lifetime.

Only a couple new cars manufacturers have seen any positive movement in the market. Subaru is the only manufacturer that can hang their hat on any gains in the nre car sales sector for 2008. They were up 1.5% for the year. Most of their success was do to the totally redesigned Subaru Forester.

Used car markets across the board have suffered and there appears to be no foreseeable end. many auto dealers are combining their used car inventories in order to reduce their advertising outlay. CincyAutos.com is one of many that is doing just that. Consolidating the inventories of twelve of their dealership's used car inventories helps to not only reduce advertising, but give the online shoppers a better user experience. CincyAutos.com has over 1,000 used cars available. This is more than enough choices for most shoppers in the Cincinnati market.

Other used car Cincinnati dealers have seen this approach and are considering creating similar websites in order to combat the downturn in business and save on the overall advertising budget.

Look for more hub pages for similar new car dealers to pop up in order to accomplish the same benefits for new car franchises.

Thinking outside the box has never been more important than in today's market.

Upbeat Used Car Sales Continue In Cincinnati

The used car market is beginning to really turn around in Cincinnati. Dealerships from all points around the city are beginning to see things turn around.

The truck and SUV market in particular are showing signs of strength. Where there was once a glut of full size SUVs and trucks literally laying around on used car lots, that is now not the case.

Used Car Cincinnati Dealers have something to smile about in the wake of the slight gas price reduction and the local buyers have been seemingly rejuvinated and are back out on the lots looking for deals.

If the gas prices continue to stabalize or move down, the next market to likely see an uptick will be the new car sales market.
